Effective from 13 October 2026
This is a translation for your convenience. The legally binding version is the Slovak original; in case of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.

Each of them is the “provider” of her own services; together they are also referred to as the “studio”.
1.2a. A service contract is concluded with the provider of that service. The provider is shown in the booking form before you submit the order and in the confirmation email. Payment goes directly to the provider (for online payments, to her account with the Stripe payment gateway), who also issues the payment receipt. For each service, the rights and obligations of the studio under these Terms are those of its provider; the client may nevertheless send complaints or withdrawals to the shared email – the studio will forward them to the right provider.
1.3. A client is any natural or legal person who orders a service from the studio. A client who is a consumer has rights under Slovak Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection and the Civil Code. If the service is intended for a child, the contract is concluded by the child’s legal guardian, who is considered the client.
1.4. The supervisory authority is the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI), Inspectorate for the Bratislava Region, Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 5, 820 07 Bratislava 27.
2. Services and prices
2.1. The studio provides:
- group dance classes for adults and children according to the current schedule,
- private lessons by arrangement,
- workshops – one-off events with their own price,
- rental of the dance hall.
2.2. Group classes can be attended with:
- a single entry – valid for one specific class and sold for open classes only; courses (e.g. a new course with a fixed start date) can only be joined with a pass,
- a 4-class pass (bachata, Latin) – valid for 1 month from the date of the first class,
- an 8-class pass (bachata, Latin) – valid for 2 months from the date of the first class,
- a trial class (children’s groups, Contemporary Dance, stretching) – valid for one specific class; once per person and programme, for children once per child,
- a pass for children’s groups, Contemporary Dance and stretching (4, 8 or 12 classes according to the price list) – valid for 1 month from the day of purchase (e.g. from 5 Oct to 5 Nov) and only for the groups stated in the price list.
2.3. Current prices are listed on the website in the “Schedule & booking” and “Space rental” sections. Prices are final and in euros. The studio is not a VAT payer.
3. Booking and conclusion of the contract
3.1. The client signs up for a class via the form on the website: they choose a group, date, type of entry and payment method and fill in their contact details. Before submitting, they read these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
3.2. The contract is concluded when the studio sends the client an email confirming the booking. With online payment, the booking becomes binding only after successful payment; if the payment is not completed within 30 minutes, the booking is cancelled automatically and the spot is released.
3.3. The confirmation email contains details of the ordered service, price and date. We recommend keeping it. The studio archives the concluded contract (confirmation) and will make it available to the client on request. The contract is concluded in the Slovak language; communication is also possible in English and Ukrainian.
3.4. The studio may refuse a booking if the class is full, if the client has repeatedly failed to pay for previous bookings or if the client has seriously breached these Terms.
4. Payment
4.1. The client can pay:
- online by payment card, Apple Pay or Google Pay via the Stripe payment gateway – the studio has no access to card details,
- at the studio – at the latest before the start of the first booked class.
4.2. When paying at the studio, a client may have at most two unpaid bookings at the same time.
4.3. Hall rental is paid online in advance.
4.4. When paying at the studio, the client receives a receipt from the electronic cash register (eKasa). For online payments, the confirmation email with the document number, payment date and amount serves as the receipt. Online payments are refunded via the Stripe payment gateway, payments made at the studio with a refund receipt from eKasa.
5. Passes
5.1. A bachata and Latin pass is valid from the date of the first class for which it was purchased; a pass for children’s groups, Contemporary Dance and stretching is valid from the day of purchase – in both cases for the period stated in clause 2.2. A pass is personal and non-transferable.
5.2. Each class must be booked in advance via the website or with the trainer. Booking a class uses one entry of the pass.
5.3. Entries not used by the end of the pass’s validity expire without compensation. In case of long-term illness or injury supported by a medical certificate, the studio may extend the validity by agreement.
5.4. A pass for children’s groups keeps the child’s place in the group (up to 10 children per group). A missed class can be made up in another group if it has a free spot, or at the studio’s monthly workshop or event.
5.5. A missed class cannot be carried over to another course or to a new pass. During the current course (while the pass is valid), it can however be made up in any other group by arrangement with the trainer, if that group has a free spot.
6. Cancellation of a class by the client
6.1. The client may cancel a booking only by replying to the confirmation email (the reply goes directly to the trainer of that class) no later than 12 hours before the start of the class. In that case:
- with a pass, the entry is not used,
- a single entry is moved to another class of the client’s choice, within 30 days at the latest.
6.2. In case of later cancellation or a no-show, the entry is considered used and a single entry expires.
7. Cancellation or change of a class by the studio
7.1. The studio may cancel or reschedule a class for serious reasons (e.g. trainer’s illness, low number of participants, technical failure). It informs the client by email or phone as soon as possible.
7.2. If the studio cancels a class, the entry is not used and the client may choose a replacement class or a refund of the amount paid for that class. The validity of a pass is extended accordingly.
7.3. The studio may change the schedule, trainer or content of classes; changes are published on the website.
8. Withdrawal from the contract
8.1. Passes (4, 8 and 12 classes) – a consumer may withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days of the conclusion of the contract. By submitting the booking, the client expressly requests that the service start before this period ends. If the client has already attended some classes within this period, the studio refunds the price of the pass reduced by a proportional amount for the attended classes (pass price / number of entries × number of entries used). If all entries have been used, no refund is due.
8.2. A single entry or a trial class for a specific class, a workshop and hall rental for a specific date – these are leisure services provided on an agreed date. Under Act No. 108/2024 Coll., the consumer does not have the right to withdraw from such contracts without giving a reason. This does not affect the cancellation options under clause 6.
8.3. You can withdraw:
- via the form on the Withdrawal from contract page,
- by email to info@beststudio-dance.com,
- in writing to the provider’s address stated in clause 1.2 (Gessayova 2616/14, 851 03 Bratislava-Petržalka, Slovakia).
The deadline is met if the client sends the notice before it expires. The client may also use the model form on the Withdrawal from contract page.
8.4. The studio refunds the payment without undue delay, at the latest within 14 days of receiving the notice of withdrawal, using the same payment method the client used, unless otherwise agreed with the consumer. The client incurs no further fees.
9. Hall rental
9.1. The rental is also governed by the Rental rules, which the client accepts before booking.
9.2. The time slot is firmly booked only once payment has been received. Payments are non-refundable; rescheduling is possible by agreement if another slot is available.
9.3. If the studio cancels the rental, it refunds the full amount paid or, by agreement, offers a replacement slot.
10. Workshops
10.1. A workshop is a one-off event with the price stated on the website for that workshop. Passes do not apply to workshops unless stated otherwise for the workshop. The provider of a workshop is shown with the workshop and in the confirmation email.
10.2. The sign-up is binding once the confirmation email has been delivered; with online payment, only after payment. Payment is possible online in advance or on site before the workshop starts.
10.3. The workshop price paid is non-refundable. If the client cannot attend, they may ask only by replying to the confirmation email (the reply goes directly to the workshop organiser), no later than 48 hours before the workshop starts, to be moved to another workshop of the studio. In case of a later request or a no-show, the payment is forfeited; by agreement with the studio, the client may send another person instead.
10.4. If the studio cancels a workshop, it refunds the full amount paid.
11. Safety, health and studio rules
11.1. The client takes part in classes voluntarily. Before training, they should consider their state of health and tell the trainer in person about any health restrictions, pregnancy or injuries. Please do not enter health information in the website form.
11.2. The client must follow the trainer’s instructions and the studio rules, enter the hall in clean indoor shoes and behave so as not to endanger themselves or others.
11.3. The studio is liable for damage in accordance with generally binding legislation. For valuables left unattended on the premises, the studio is liable only to the extent required by law; we recommend not leaving them unattended.
11.4. The client is liable for any damage they cause at the studio.
12. Children
12.1. A child is signed up for children’s classes by their legal guardian, who is the contracting party.
12.2. The legal guardian is responsible for the child before and after the class. They hand the child over to the trainer and pick them up on time after the class, unless agreed otherwise with the trainer.
12.3. When booking a children’s class, the legal guardian states the child’s name.
13. Photos and videos
13.1. The studio occasionally takes photos and videos at classes and events for its website and social media.
13.2. A client who does not wish to appear in recordings tells the trainer before the class. The studio publishes recordings in which a client is recognisable only with their consent; for children, with the consent of the legal guardian. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by email.
14. Complaints
14.1. If a service was not provided properly, the client may file a complaint by email to info@beststudio-dance.com or in person at the studio, without undue delay.
14.2. The studio confirms receipt of the complaint and resolves it within 30 days at the latest. It informs the client of the outcome by email.
15. Alternative dispute resolution
15.1. If a consumer is not satisfied with how a complaint was handled or believes that the studio has violated their rights, they may ask the studio for redress. If the studio rejects the request or does not respond within 30 days, the consumer may file a proposal for alternative dispute resolution under Act No. 391/2015 Coll.
15.2. The alternative dispute resolution body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (Central Inspectorate of SOI, Department of Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution, Bajkalská 21/A, 827 99 Bratislava, ars@soi.sk) or another authorised body listed by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. This does not affect the right to go to court.
16. Final provisions
16.1. The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.
16.2. The studio may change these Terms. The contract is governed by the version in force at the time it was concluded.
16.3. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code and Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection.
16.4. These Terms take effect on 13 October 2026.
